In my free time, I like to keep a good balance between relaxing and staying active. I enjoy reading, watching TV, and spending time outside when the weather’s nice. I like to stay active by going on walks and runs, working out, and playing volleyball—it’s a fun way to stay healthy and connect with others. These hobbies help me recharge and keep life interesting outside of school.
I’m currently involved in Student Council as a delegate, where I help vote in on certain proposals. I also serve on the executive board of the Women’s Club Volleyball team as the Fundraising Chair, where I coordinate fundraising efforts to support the team’s activities and events.
My favorite thing about TCNJ is the sense of community. From the moment I arrived, I felt welcomed and supported by both students and staff. Everyone is willing to help each other, and it’s easy to build strong connections both in and out of the classroom. Whether it’s through clubs, classes, or just walking around campus, there’s a real feeling of belonging that makes TCNJ feel like home.
My favorite spot on campus is the fourth floor of the library. It’s always really quiet, which makes it the perfect place to focus and get work done. I like having a space where I can study by myself without distractions, and the large windows give a nice overview of the campus, which makes the space feel open and peaceful. It’s a great spot to reset and stay productive.
A piece of advice I always share with incoming students is this: you have nothing to lose and everything to gain. Take the chance, ask the question, join the club—whatever it is, just go for it. College is the perfect time to step out of your comfort zone and try new things. Your future self will thank you. These are words I personally repeat to myself, and they’ve helped me throughout my transition into college.
