Mount Laurel, NJ
Something I love to do is cook for my friends and family, especially grilling. I am also an outdoors person and absolutely love the beach. Friends are also a very important aspect to me so I tend to hangout with them as much as possible.
During my free time I participate in many of the intramural sports here on campus (basketball, flag football, etc). I am also an independent research student in Dr. Butlers lab where I study bird behavior, ecophysiology, and hormone levels. Lastly, I just acquired my first on campus job working for the office of student life which I am very excited about.
TCNJ has a beautiful campus that I think often goes under-appreciated. Beyond its scenic environment, the college offers strong academics, which was one of the main reasons I chose to attend. This is reflected in the impressive graduate and medical school placements of its alumni.
While it is definitely not the most scenic spot that our campus offers, I tend to do most of my work in the basement of the library. This area provides ample room, clean bathrooms, computers, and printer access. The library basement is the perfect quiet zone where students can study, relax, or use one of the two computer labs.
College is much more than academics, studying, and getting good grades. It is the transitional period in our lives from childhood to adulthood. That being said, enjoy the time you have at TCNJ. Live in the present and utilize your resources. Be open-minded and most importantly grateful for the opportunity to receive higher education. Have fun!
