Advisor for: First Year Students in Management and Marketing
I was raised in Lancaster, PA and have a great fondness for the strength in community there, as well as whoopie pies. For my collegiate educational experience, I decided to stay close to Lancaster and go to a small, private institution – Elizabethtown College. I was involved in athletics, wellness advocacy, and even spent a semester studying in New Zealand, all of which shaped my passion for health, culture, and community. I earned my B.S. in Health Occupation, and my M.S. in Occupational Therapy, which is the study of helping others perform the activities they need and want to do in various roles and environments. Having a minor in Studio Art, I also like to stay creative! I encourage people to embrace creativity and play, no matter what roles they hold in life.
Since joining TCNJ in 2021, I worked as a Wellness Programs Coordinator within Student Life; Recreation and Wellness (RecWell) and also served on the Staff Mental Health Council. My focus in RecWell was to create holistic student programs to enable stress relief, build community, and to foster healthy habits. Being student-facing grew my perspectives for the student experience outside of the classroom, as well as fostered strong interdepartmental
relationships to support students’ holistic wellbeing (Counseling Services, Student Health Services, Spiritual Life, and more). I am eager to bring this knowledge to the Center for Student Success team, and am dedicated to advise each student in their studies while discussing tips to thrive in their personal pursuits.
Outside of my job, I like to spend time at my church, go on adventures with my husband, take walks, and read or paint. I am proud to now live in New Jersey – and be closer to the beach- and look forward to continue to work alongside passionate and dedicated students and colleagues. TCNJ students’ curiosity for life, determination to be involved, and kindness always amaze me, and it is a privilege to walk alongside these students to help them live their best lives as part of the Lions Pride.
