Transfer Transition for Transfer Students

Specially geared towards our new transfer students, this session will go over all the basics of getting acclimated to campus, including the sometimes overwhelming transition to a new college.

Tackling time (self) management is a skill that not only supports our academic achievement but also promotes overall wellness. Geared towards first year students, this session will help provide the foundation for efficient (and realistic) time management.

We’ll begin with a general advising overview and then move into navigating the nuts and bolts of PAWS and understanding your major/College Core requirements. This session is a great foundation for our next session that will focus on registration prep!

This session will help students prepare for their enrollment appointment time in November. Topics will include searching for courses (including how to look up College Core requirements), building/validating your shopping cart, understanding advising/registration holds, utilizing College Scheduler, preparing for advising appointments, and enrolling in courses.
