Chinasa Thorpe

I am a proud Trenton native and have dedicated my career to making a meaningful impact in education. A former Educational Opportunity Fund (EOF) student at Mercer County Community College, I went on to earn my Bachelor’s Degree in Public Health from Stockton University. Following graduation, I took a gap year before pursuing my Master’s Degree in School Counseling at The College of New Jersey.

In 2017, I joined the SS&R (Student Success and Retention) team at The College of New Jersey, where I have been instrumental in supporting students’ academic and personal growth. With approximately seven years of experience in education, I am deeply passionate about working with students who face academic challenges, helping them overcome obstacles, and giving them hope to succeed.

My commitment to fostering growth and opportunity reflects my strong belief in the transformative power of education and the importance of empowering every student to reach their full potential.

Assigned Advisor to Undesignated Transitional Students

Co-Advisor to Undeclared-General Students

Academic coaching for all TCNJ students

Coordinator of the Peer Academic Coaching (PAC) Program
